About God

God, the creator of all things, loves us. He is the I Am, the name he gave to Moses, unchanging, ever present, and sufficient. God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit are one, equal, and together make up the personhood of God. God desires a deep and loving relationship with all people but is a perfect gentleman and does not force himself upon us. Deu 6:4

About Jesus

We believe Jesus is God. To this light, we believe God humbled himself, became we know in history as Jesus, lived a sinless life and died for our sins. After this he triumphed over death and was resurrected. He walked the earth for 40 days and ascended to heaven, to the Father’s right hand. Hebrews 1;3

About the

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirt is the part of God we see most active in our world today. After salvation, the Holy Spirit chooses to dwell in us, changing us and making us new. He teaches us, empowers us, encourages us, and grants each follower of Jesus unique gifts. The Holy Spirit is promised to all who believe. Acts 2:4

About the Bible

We believe the bible is the inspired word of God and he speaks to believers today through it. The bible is God’s standard for the words we speak, and the things we do. God’s word is timeless and faultless. It is our desire to equip God’s people to search the scriptures and know God more fully. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

About Salvation

All people are created in the image of God and have an innate value. When sin entered the world through Adam and Eve our relationship with God was damaged. When we sin (fail to live by God’s good standard) it leads to pain, heartbreak, and most importantly distances us from God. We could never repair the damage sin has done on our own, so God came to earth as Jesus, and served as a sacrifice for our sins. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior his sacrifice covers our sin making us appear blameless to God, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us making us a new creation(sanctification). Made right with God, and united with him again, our hearts are changed. He makes us new. This is not a passive thing for believers, we must actively put off our old self, repent, and turn towards Jesus. 1 Peter 2:24

The ordinances of Christ’s church

Baptism

When you have accepted Jesus as your savior the next step is to be baptized. This signifies dying to yourself and living your life new, for God. Baptism is not what saves you, it is like putting on your jersey and saying, “I am team Jesus.” Matthew 28: 19,20

Communion

Jesus commanded communion before he died to help his followers remember his sacrifice. The bread represents his body which was beaten for us, and the juice represents his blood poured out for us. Communion offers us the opportunity to reflect on God’s sacrifice and forgiveness. It is a time where we get to thank God for all he has done for us. 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
